Gabriel Targets Strong Finish Against Magesi

Richards Bay co-coach Ronnie Gabriel says his side will look to extend their unbeaten run when they visit Magesi FC in their final match of the season on Saturday.

The KwaZulu-Natal outfit is unbeaten in their last seven league matches, recording two wins and five draws during that run.

Bay’s last defeat came in March on a rain-soaked night at Chatsworth Stadium.

That was also the last time the Natal Rich Boys lost away from home, having since beaten TS Galaxy and drawn against Marumo Gallants in their last two away fixtures.

However, Bay will need to be cautious against Magesi, who are desperate for points as they sit at the bottom of the table on 21 points after 29 matches.

A win for Magesi would be enough to secure a playoff spot, provided Orbit College FC lose to Orlando Pirates in Saturday’s season finale.

Gabriel, whose side occupies 11th place on the table with 34 points, insists they will not approach the match with any thoughts of doing favours for other teams.

“Our last game is against Magesi, and we are looking forward to finishing the season on a high,” Gabriel told the https://richardsbayfc.com/

“Our preparations are on track. We have a few injury concerns, but we have capable replacements within the squad.

“This is also an opportunity for us to improve our away record and build confidence in winning matches away from home ahead of next season.

“It is also a great opportunity for the younger players to showcase their talent at Seshego Stadium and gain confidence going into next season.

“So, we are looking forward to this encounter and ending the season on a positive note.”
