Ugandan shotstopper Salim Magoola is off to represent his national team, Uganda, at the #AFCON2025 which begins this coming weekend on the 21st December 2025, in Morocco.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper received a national call-up after The Cranes coach Paul Put named his full squad for the competition earlier this month.
Magoola will be alongside PSL rival, veteran goalkeeper Dennis Onyango in the Ugandan squad participating at the AFCON.
Salim Magoola enjoyed a good amount of game time in the first part of the season, starting in the first six rounds of the 2025/26 season.
His last appearance in the starting XI came in the Natal Rich Boyz 1-1 draw against TS Galaxy back in August.
Magoola and the Ugandan Cranes begin their AFCON campaign on Tuesday, 23 December, against Tunisia in their opener of Group C.
Thereafter they will play against Tanzania, before concluding their group matches against Nigeria on the 30th December.
